The JOYS of powerful scar tissue release
Ah. JOY! Ah. RELEASE! Ah. SCAR TISSUES AND TRAUMA ISSUES.
Let’s have a moment to talk about the common thread or problem with the clients that I love working with. A client that understands the COMMITMENT that it takes to re-educate, re-align and re-build their physical body to feel at home wherever they go. A client that has done a lot of personal trauma work, and it’s hungry for more! A client with scar tissue! A client that understand movement patterns! A client that is open to receive scar tissue therapy as a sacred contract to release trauma locked in the body! A client that believes that trauma is their gift to receive! A client that is ready to dig as deep as what’s underneath the pain body, because your pain is not where the problem is.
Millions of surgeries are done every day. Every surgery creates a scar. And, yes scar tissue develops from injuries, burns, infections, inflammations, infections, falls, car wrecks…So let’s pause for a moment, and check in how does this scar tissue affects the postural alignment, and the structural body you reside in. My quick invitation is to find a wall space, and stand with your heels about three inches away from the wall. Make sure your tushie, shoulder blades and back of your head are touching the wall. Let’s keep your feet shoulder width apart. Invite one hand behind your occipital, and the other on your sacral. Ideally, the back of your head will be connecting to the wall without you having to pull it back. If your head/chin is pulling forward, feel free to adjust as you lengthen the back of your neck. If your low back is is creating too much space away from the wall, feel free to draw your belly in to explore the curve, and the possibilities of feeling the wall. You basically, want to have your occipital in alignment to your sacrum. How does this feel? Perhaps, weird :o) or perhaps, good and you are aware of your posture and experiencing a beautiful alignment. Perhaps, not. Whatever you are experiencing, it’s all beautiful and sacred invitation to experience more of what your system offers in the scope of healing embodiment .
Now, scars and how they affect your postural alignment. It limits your range of motion in your muscles and joints around the spine. So hello to your first challenge or discomfort to maintain postural alignment and ease. Your muscle start to get tight, and signaling stress. The body starts to compensate all the imbalances, and welcome the deeper signaling of unhealthy movement patterns through your fascial body. Next, it’s organs and all the pain triggering on keeping things hard to function….
When a new client walks into my practice, they usually come because of misalignment in their structural body. They don’t come to experience sacred play and their scar tissues and the actual issues :o) So, here is the client that I love to work with, the one that’s open hearted and with even bigger OPEN mindedness who understand the sacredness of their scars, and their trauma in this breathing body. Is it a FUN process? Uhm, it certainly an be! IS IT A SACRED PROCESS? Well, that’s my intention in the process of release. I don’t believe you can really play if you're stuck in your range of motion. However I absolutely believe that this is one of the many other things you are here to rebuild and re-educate through your spine, spirit and soul.
I love working with spirit and soul as our scar are nothing less than the beautiful miracle to unwind what no longer aligns to experience joy of movement.
So, if you are called to experience freedom in the only home you will reside till your last breath, and you are called to be at home everywhere you go, reach out. If not, may the magic and the mystery of your beautiful scars bring more reminders of what makes you feel alive.
With big bow to the sacred scars of our body in motion, and energy in motion (emotion), I bow to the wisdom that your body holds of remembering to take another deep breath….
Big SIGH,
Maggie
