Your body is a sacred vessel for communication
Let’s take a moment to drop in this moment. In this breathing body as vessel of communication to spirit and soul. Take a breath to tune in, perhaps inviting a hand to feel the beat of your heart. Ah, the echo of what’s working 24/7 and remembering to precious moments of being fully alive.
May you invite the softness of your belly to remember the depth of your breath. A moment in this time and space of rushing or scrolling to the next thing, can you have a moment to just stay and feel the living prayer of this day, and devote a moment to honor the deeper layers of your breathing body?
Today happens to be, August 15, Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A day honoring the feast that lifts the ordinary into the extraordinary by recognizing how profoundly our very bodies can bear the imprint of divine glory. It's not just about Mary being taken into heaven—it’s a powerful lesson about the dignity, potential, and destiny of the human body.
As I was sitting on the rock greeted by the sunrise, having few moments to tune into the energetics of the day, a question dropped in: “When have you felt your body deeply engaged in prayer, service, or community?”
In daily prayer, being in this breathing body as sacred vessel of service: kneeling or bowing down into stillness to witness my breathing patterns, and drop into deeper state of listening.
In sacred service: Offering prayer, making self-care boxes, and letting the heart offer the gift of giving without any sense of receiving back to a person in need.
In community: Dropping in the state of oneness and feeling the vibration of being in ONE with everything.
On this Solemnity of the Assumption, we celebrate more than Mary’s heavenly exaltation—we celebrate what God wants us to experience through these breathing bodies in the communion to this moment of pause and connection to all the support around us, and feel the embodied sensations f being fully presence and alive.
May we live with the wisdom to treat our bodies as sacred communication vessel of transformation and a gift being cultivated for grace, community, and divine encounter!
Have a beautiful weekend, and enjoy this very moment of time and space that shapes the choices to weaving your body of work as the legacy you are here to cherish for many generations to come!
Deep bow,
